Digital technologies can provide support in many areas of professional care. The article studies the current use of technology in everyday working life, the acceptance of digital health technology and wishes for the future use of digital technologies from the perspective of care professionals in nursing care. Models of technology acceptance research serve as conceptual basis. Ten semi-structured interviews were conducted and analyzed using qualitative content analysis. The interviews provide information on the current relevance of technologies in nursing care, promoting and inhibiting factors of use as well as on opportunities and risks when using digital support. Theoretical implications for the research of technology acceptance are derived. The results can be used for new and further developments of digital systems and their implementation in care settings.
